Bail was set and posted Tuesday for a woman charged after a cocaine-manufacturing plant was found in 1985 in Montgomery County.
Instead of spending Christmas at home in Queens, Evelyn Dubon, who has been jailed for nearly 20 months, is being sent to North Carolina to answer federal drug charges.
U.S. Magistrate Ralph W. Smith Jr. set bail at $250,000 in U.S. District Court in Albany for Dubon, an El Salvador native who faces multiple counts in connection with the Minden cocaine operation, including the alleged operation of a continual criminal enterprise, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. …
