The Pennsylvania Lottery in fiscal year 2010-11 set an annual sales record of $3.2 billion, according to a July 22 announcement.
Last year's total surpassed the previous record, which was set in 2007-08, by $118.7 million, the Middletown-based state agency said.
In 2010-11, the lottery expanded its retail base by more than 500 locations and now has more than 9,000 in the commonwealth.
